The leaves are falling, the weather is crisp, and Trick-or-Treating is just around the corner. I am at the beginning of my 8th grade year. My mom is always saying how fast things are moving. I don’t feel quite the same, but it is hard to believe I came up with the idea for BrickStix over 4 years ago. Wow, how things have changed.
BrickStix has grown– just like I have. BrickStix has made mistakes– just like I have. BrickStix has changed– just like I have. I’m older, taller, my voice is deeper, and I just may be a bit wiser. One thing I know for sure, is that my journey with BrickStix has been amazing. I have been afforded incredible opportunities. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been worth it. I have learned so much about myself, about others, about the business world, and about life.
As we head into November and prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, I will be reminded of how thankful I am BrickStix is part of my story. Thankful for my family who rallied around my idea, thankful for the men and women who answered all of our questions and helped us bring BrickStix to market, thankful for the independent toy store owners who took a chance on a kid’s idea, thankful for the fans who love my idea and help keep us going, thankful for all my friends and family who have supported me, and thankful my little idea has made it to the shelves of Toys “R” Us. I have learned that it’s not just about an idea, it takes believing and a lot of hard work.
I am a lucky kid. That’s for sure. Thank you to everyone who helped me on my BrickStix journey. Wherever it goes, I am grateful.
